Double feature in season finales

Just watched the season finales of Supernatural and Smallville. God I’m sick of Smallville. Or well I have been sick of it for quite some time, I just want the man to put on his cape and fly away already. Crappy filler episodes. I keep watching it out of spite, it’s a love and hate thing.
Supernatural is another story. I honestly like it. Even though I sometimes get sick of the main storyline which the show has completley been absorbed by (what happened with killing a new monster every week?). I’d also like it to be even darker, meaner and gritty.
Most shows are coming to an end now as summer approaches. Used to be one had atleast Kyle XY to look forward to. That show started to blow however and floated away. The Shield was another summertime show if I don’t remember incorrectly and appearantly it was supposed to start airing in april 2008 but got pushed back to september. Guess it got too popular and they wanted to squeeze the ratings out of it.
Ah well. Guess I have to go outside again then soon. Is the sky still blue I wonder?

Robbie Williams on the UFO phenomena

Wow. Don’t I feel like a tabloid. Anyway. Robbie Williams now has his own thread on Above Top Secret forums where he himself, in his own words, describes his sightings. In difference to recent press coverage though I’m not just spatting noncence about this and I have actually read what the man has to say, in contrast to some really crummy swedish evening news magazines such as Expressen.
Excerpt:
..I was facing Sunset Strip lying on a sun lounger about 11.30 at night in the yard of a hotel I was staying at. The yard area was about 50ft square(maybe less) and at the end of it are palm trees and bushes, which obscures peoples’ view from the other side in (and ours out). I was with a friend who was lying next to me on another sun lounger and we were both staring upwards. From what I remember, an object flew over us at about 200 to 300 ft high…it may have been higher I don’t know.
It was definitely black with yellow stripes underneath. Now, I’m not sure if it was square or triangle, but I do remember that it made absolutely no noise whatsoever. My friend and I both saw it. I don’t know why, but I had a hunch it was one of ours. ..
Excerpt 2:
..out of nowwhere, (and everybody that was there saw this) a black strip of light a few inches thick came in through the studio door and stretched about 20 feet or so (the length of the studio) and went out through the opposing studio window…

These strange clouds were videotaped from the window of a japanese airliner over the sea of Okhotsk last summer, they strateched over 100 km’s.
Note: Nothing really weird about this except it’s cool looking.
Save the sharks

Just watched Sharkwater and got reminded of the ugly business that is the sharkfin industry/mafia. It’s truly disgusting. Only 18 countries have banned the finning of sharks, not sure whether Sweden is one of them. Shit like this makes me disgusted, to have a fine chinese wedding of say 300 people, you kill 300 sharks. Now I wouldn’t make such a big fuzz about it if they actually ate the whole shark but of course they don’t, they just pull them out of the water, finn them and let them suffocate/bleed out on the way to the bottom. The most fucked up thing is that the fin doesn’t taste anything, they just add “texture”. I hate human beings sometimes.
And even if you don’t care about the sharks it’s in everyones best interest not to kill off something that is at the top of the foodchain in one of the most important ecosystems on our planet.
Now I bet you think that finning shark is the way to go for poor fishermen looking for a quick buck in some underdeveloped country. Oh no. A freaking third of the worlds sharkfins are pulled up by us good folks in EU, Norway being one of the bastard nations (but then again, is anyone surprised giving their stance on whaling and cracking skulls of baby seals?). Guess oil isn’t enough for you greedy bastards is it.
I sure as hell am taking an extra look at Ming Palaces menu the next time I eat there, I’m pretty sure they serve sharkfin. If they do I’m not eating there anymore. Not only should finning be banned, the sales should be banned.

Dishwasher + Mac keyboard = tru

Spilled almost an entire bottle of coke all over a mac keyboard (not the alu version) and it completley clogged up and stopped working. On a whim I put it in our dishwasher (no detergent) and let it dry out for like a week. It now works again, except for the space bar being a little annoying (but that has probably more to do with me brutally ripping it off.

Last.fm update breaks “hide dock icon”

Gah! How utterly annoying. In the latest update of the audioscrobbling client from Last.fm, version 1.5.0.25618, you are no longer able to hide the icon from the dock. And when uninstalling this version and re-installing the old version, 1.4.2.58240 (which you can download here Last.fm old version) it asks you to update on every launch of the application. Of course this update can be canceled but you can’t turn off automatic updates so it will keep on asking every time… sigh..
Update: They’re working on this. And they answered my email in like 20 minutes. I’m impressed!
