Regarding the switch

Colored turds
Got a cute post from an anonymous someone a while ago it seems (I suck at reading my comments). “macgrabben slår till…..du hatar väl mac..haha….äntligen har du insett, det tog ett tag bara.” Basically someone surprised and amused by the fact I have switched to Mac seeing as I used to have an intense distaste for the platform earlier.
Now I still absolutely loath Mac OS 9 and their PPC platform since it made the whole computer expensive, inefficient, slow and.yeah..well it was simply not for me. Mac has historically blown goats ass, in particular back in the days when they didn’t allow third party vendors to manufacture hardware for the system. The Mac OS 9 memory allocation was a pure joke, not to mention the overall user experience.
Mac has not really been an option for me until they switched to Intel and since the release of Tiger and of course, me becoming more of a leisure user, dropping my interest in hardware and using the computer as a gaming platform. Today Mac can easily run Windows (not that I would), has plenty of open source software and great shareware. In the later years I have also gotten really pissed off by the whole Windows Genuine Advantage ordeal and their “Genuine software” programs. I was also sick of all the viruses and firewalls (a problem I am quite sure the Mac would suffer from if the platform had as large market share).
Anyway. I guess what I’m trying to say that I see myself as different than the tools who used Mac because they were pretty and easy to use and never minded the fact them being expensive, slow and in general utterly worthless. That probably makes me come off as being somewhat of an asshole, but I’m fine with that :)
